Panoptik Timecode

A new timecode calculator is available for the iPhone. It’s called Panoptik Timecode (iTunes link), and it’s worth highlighting. It’s one of the most well-designed iOS timecode calculators I’ve seen. It sports a dark user interface, and it looks as if quite a lot of time was put into its elegant design — a number of the earlier timecode calcs look like they were designed by a code-writing engineer, but the Panoptik product looks more like it was designed by an artist. A look at the bullet points shows quite a few features:
Over 10 different preset formats
Over 11 preset frame rates and units
Unique, elegant user interface makes calculating timecode and footage a pleasure
Mix any units you desire. From feet to frames to HD to PAL to NTSC to IMAX and beyond!
View your previous calculations in the log
At $6.99, it’s also one of the more expensive timecode tools available in the iTunes store. Just do a search for timecode and you’ll return a lot of results. There was a time where there really weren’t any tc calcs at all but that’s not the case anymore. If you’re looking for a well designed, functional (but not cheap!) tc calc, then Panoptik might be it. More pictures after the jump.
